Well if your primary goal is to get stoned all the time and use marijuana habitiually then I suggest you stay in the UK as the usage rate in the UK is far higher than the Netherlands. It's tough enough to get a job in this current climate, but if you add to that the fact that you (a) don't speak Dutch (b) don't have any skills/education and (c) have a ethos which is actually contrary to that of the average Dutch person then I would say it's going to be nigh impossible for you Have you honestly thought this through? You will not be entitled to any form of benefit from the Dutch government so that rules out help with social housing, unemployment benefit etc. Getting accomodation in Amsterdam (which I presume is where you will gravitate towards) is not easy and it most definately is not cheap either. You are looking at paying around the รข‚¬700-900 for a basic one bedroom place (without a waiting list) in a not so great area and then you have to pay 2-3 months in advance anyway. Do you have that kind of money in your pocket? If you are serious then come over to the Netherlands and see for yourself. Don't just act and view the country as a tourist. Visit the job agencies to see your chances of getting employment and then what kind of salary level. Then check the accomodation situation and see for yourself. Talk to locals and you will see that everything I have said is bang on. Contrary to what you believe the drugs policy here is a pragmatic one designed to actually deter persons for having an addiction to any form of drugs but certainly not one designed to encourage it. Employers respect people have a choice to do as they wish with their homelife so long as it does not affect their working life. From the mere sentence of "I wanna go to Holland get stoned and work if i can to support my habit" sounds like you have things back-to-front and actually this is very child-like. Sorry but I talk from real-life and I guess it's time for a reality check! @ Mal, thx ;)

At age 35 you need to grow up, you sound like a 17 year old. Think about training to do some work and forget the cannabis. The Dutch are sick to the back teeth of foreigners going to Amsterdam to get stoned.
