Is it possible for Americans to find summer work in the Netherlands

Is it possible for Americans to find summer work in the Netherlands?
I am planning on going back to Holland for three months this summer and was wondering if it is possible for an American to get summer work there. And, if it is possible, what kind of work and where?

No, it is impossible unless you are having two nationalities, one of them European, and even then it will be hard. All people from the European Union and a few more European countries are allowed to work in the Netherlands when they have their paperwork sorted, but that means that there is no work left for people from outside the area. In theory you can apply and if the employer can proof that he could not get anyone for the job, he can get a work permit for you. In fact this is almost never the case, with a high unemployment in all European countries, in some areas as high as 30%, no single job will be without suitable worker when advertised. And on top of that, applying for a work permit is costly, in money as well as in time, and will take a long time to get sorted. So no employer will do that for a temporary job. People from some countries can get a working holiday visa, or whatever it is called now, but people from the USA can not, because the USA does not allow people from other nations to work there and these things have to work both ways. If you are European, as second nationality, you can work in Europe, but in the Netherlands you need to apply for your social security number, and it can take up to 6 weeks after applying and you can only apply when you have an official address in the Netherlands. There might be a fast track, but I have never heard about that. And you will still have to compeed with all Dutch and many other Europeans for a limited amount of jobs, and not being here will make it much harder. Your '90 days in the Schengen zone' stamp in your passport is for tourists only, you are not allowed to work while in the Schengen zone. And the Netherlands are part of that zone, never doubt that.

Not legally. Jobs are hard to find right now for even European citizens. US citizens need a work permit, not easy to get. I am an American going through immigration process in Hungary. I am almost sorry I even started the paperwork. Very Expensive and so much red tape. Spent another $200. this week just on getting my marriage liecense translated from English to Hungarian. Only costs $15. for neighboring countires to get translations, everyone gives us US citizens a harder time of it all. Better just go and have some fun and forget working while on holiday. Actually there is a new thing where the US is taking workers from Hungary without having to have a special visa. Maybe someday it will be easier for us too.

No, it isn't. Any work going, even low-paid temporary work, goes to EU or local nationals first.

How hard is it to get a work visa in Netherlands

How hard is it to get a work visa in Netherlands?
I am a US citizen and I am seriously considering moving to Holland. I have a Masters in Accounting. How hard would it be for me to get a work visa or citizenship? Thank you very much for any help or advice.

Well I'm also a bit confused by your other question and if you really want to move to the Netherlands or just to Europe somewhere. Anyway, assuming you do, then a Masters degree is certainly a step in the right direction, but normally you would have to also have work experience in either the managerial field (usually requiring a minimum of 10+ years) or a specialist stream of financial accounting in order to obtain a work permit. The fact is that work permits have to be applied for by the employer and will not be granted unless they can prove that you & you alone can fill this job (for good reasons) and that no-one else in the total EEA can or is available to do the job. Therefore it is not an easy task and especially in this environment. Indeed many job adverts in English already have a disclaimer that applicants must already have the legal status which allows them to work within the Netherlands This is just to get to the possibility to live and reside in the Netherlands. Citizenship can only be obtained after a minimum of 5 years (3 years if in a relationship visa with a Dutch national) legal residence in the Netherlands. You can see more details here the immigration status of Americans seeking work in the Netherlands http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoNhS_x5OwfyI.GZJm2WjL_ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081029005645AAYhd63 and also includes links to job agencys and sites which advertise English speaking jobs. Also if I were you then I would contact "Michael Page" which is a professional recruitment consultancy and who have a business unit specialising in sourcing high quality candidates for positons in finance & accounting. They will likely be able to give you a good indication of what are your possibilities http://www.michaelpage.nl/index.html?language=en

there are not products that there that will make your hair grow faster ... only products that prevent breakage thus helping the lenght to stay as it grows ... along with proper hair care ...
2 :
Hair grows about 1 cm in a month! the healthier your hair is, the faster it grows.
3 :
I buzzed my hair a year ago, it grew an inch the first month! But I think hair usually grows like half inch in a month.

Hair grows about an average of a half inch a month. There's no magical way to speed up the growing process. I would not put anything into my body with the hopes of making my hair grow faster. Just give it time & it'll grow out before you know it.
5 :
My hair grow at least 2cm a month try to eat anything rich in protein.. it may help u grow your hair faster... (personal opinion)
6 :
2-3 cm

i suppose that depends on the person, but my hair grows 1/8 inch every week. That is 1 inch in 8 weeks. i think that it depends on the time of year too, though. i think my hair might grow faster in warm weather. i have had good luck with a product from the Pantene line "Restoratives." The one for breakage is working well. It not only cuts down on the breakage, but it also makes my hair very shiny, soft and manageable. i sound like a commercial, don't i? i was just amazed at how well it works. Best wishes!

My hair grows extremely fast...a good inch a month. There is no magic formula to having your hair grow faster. Eat a healthy diet, take quality vitamins, and don't take anything else that promises miraculous results. Adding a little more protein to your diet will help not only your hair and nails but your body as well. Just don't over do it.
