I would like to be a doctor, like a kids doctor for everyone. I would work in Holland. Or i would work with a help organiztion in countries where help is needed. It depends on who i marry. But i would already like to know what i would have to study and some valuable information i could use.

A 2004 analysis done by the Economic consultants at the National Economic Research Associates came up with the following summary comparison of average Hospital salaries earned by Doctors : USA: $266,733 Australia: $203,132 Netherlands: $175,155 Britain: $127,285 France: $116,077 Italy: $81,414 Denmark: $73,236 Spain: $67,785 Germany: $56,455 Hospital Consultant salaries in United Kingdom were seen to have increased by 16% since 2004 to around 110,000 Pounds a year ($217,000 in Jan 2008 US Dollars) I was surprised to see Australia and Holland make it to the second and third place respectively - was rather expecting Britain doctors - but then later it sank in that these amounts were 'adjusted' for purchasing power (i.e. calibrating the 'bang for the buck' by taking into account the take-home pay AFTER taxes and the consumer price indices or local price of goods) and that these were hospital-based salaries. Non-Hospital Physician-owned setup salaries might be a different story as we already saw on this blog how General Practitioner salaries in United Kingdom have skyrocketed after a 2004 NHS contract.
